PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunochromatographic detection method and immunochromatographic kit inhibiting/eliminating a prozone phenomenon occurring in a method for detecting, using immunoreaction, detection objects in an inspection sample in which the detection objects (such as antigens) are excessively present, with their sandwiched by antibodies.SOLUTION: The immunochromatographic kit for detecting a detection object in an analyte, comprises: a chromatographic medium including a sample addition part, a labelling material holding part and a detection part; and an absorption part, where the sample addition part holds a non-ionic and hydrophilic surfactant with an HLB value of 14-18 and a membrane used for the chromatographic medium has a high flow speed. The detection method using the immunochromatographic kit and an immunochromatographic device for the detection are also disclosed.
