PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solidification technologies with alternatives to phosphate ester and nitrilotriacetic acid, which has been used for adjustment of, e.g., solidification speed of a solid block in conventional solid alkaline detergents.;SOLUTION: A solidification matrix includes a straight chain saturated carboxylic acid salt, sodium carbonate, and water. The straight chain saturated carboxylic acid salt is selected from a salt of a mono-, di-, or tri-carboxylic acid.
