PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen a positioning interval even in an environment where dispersion in traveling speed exists while satisfying a request for resolution that a location service requires.;SOLUTION: An adaptive positioning interval setting system includes one or more movable mobile terminal equipment and an action model calculation device. The mobile terminal equipment receives a positioning interval from the action model calculation device, and measures the position of the mobile terminal equipment in accordance with the positioning interval, and transmits position information indicating the measured position to the action model calculation device. The action model calculation device receives the position information from the mobile terminal equipment, and enumerates the candidate group of routes when the mobile terminal equipment moves from the position indicated by the position information by one or more moving means in accordance with the position information, and determines the positioning interval by estimating the probability and required time of each route candidate, and transmits the determined positioning interval to the mobile terminal equipment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
