PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-cooling jacket for horizontal continuous casting that can stably and efficiently cool a mold and obtain a continuous casting slab with high quality, and to provide a horizontal continuous casting apparatus using the same.;SOLUTION: A water-cooling jacket 20 used for horizontal continuous casting in which a molten metal is led out from a pouring inlet 13 of a holding furnace 10 through a continuous casting mold, includes a cylindrical jacket body 21 to be engaged with the continuous casting mold, and a jacket flange 22 that is formed on the side of one end of the jacket body 21 and is fitted to the wall surface of the holding furnace around the pouring inlet 13 in freely attachable and detachable way. A first cooling water circulation space 24 is provided along the continuous mold within a thickness of the jacket body 21, and a second cooling water circulation space 25 is provided in the jacket flange 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
