PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of easily producing a hydrogenated petroleum resin pellet.;SOLUTION: The near-infrared absorption spectrum of a hydrogenated compound (hydrogenated petroleum resin) as a molten resin after separation of a hydrogenation solvent in a hydrogenation solvent removing step is measured to calculate the aromatic content, the bromine number and the softening point as the physical properties of the hydrogenated compound based on the calibration curve data. The operation condition of at least one of temperature, pressure, reaction time and hydrogen amount in a hydrogenation reaction part 3 is controlled so that the differences between the aromatic content and the bromine number measured in the near-infrared analysis and the aromatic content and the bromine number of the hydrogenated petroleum resin pellet to be produced are reduced. At least either one of temperature and pressure of a thin film evaporator 42 is controlled so that the difference between the softening point measured in the near-infrared analysis and the softening point of the hydrogenated petroleum resin pellet to be produced is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
