PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce noise caused by resonant oscillation of a vehicle component to make an occupant hardly feel the noise when the dynamic dumper is mounted to the vehicle component.SOLUTION: In the method for setting the vehicle dynamic dumper 20 mounted to the vehicle component 6 to suppress oscillation of the vehicle component, the oscillation being resonant with the oscillation from an oscillation source, characteristics of the dynamic dumper 20 are set so that a setting frequency Fb of the dynamic dumper 20 is set to a lower one than a resonant frequency Fa of the vehicle component 6.
