PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink definition file generation device, and the like, capable of enhancing the degree of freedom when a user specifies an ink generation rate in the CMYK whole space.SOLUTION: A user is made to specify n^2 parameters for calculating the ink (K) value at a lattice point where the dot percentages of two preset colors out of CMY are equal, based on the ink (K) value at n equivalent lattice points where the dot percentages of respective colors of CMY are equal, and the n ink (K) values. Based on the information specified by a user, the ink (K) value at a lattice point where the dot percentages of two colors are equal, and the ink (K) value at a lattice point where the dot percentages of the two colors are different are determined for each one color other than the preset two colors. An ink definition file including the ink (K) value thus obtained is generated and reflected on a device link profile.
