PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simple and quick estimation of a heat transfer coefficient as an indicator of heat insulation capability of a planar member.SOLUTION: A heat transfer coefficient estimation system estimates a heat transfer coefficient (U) of a planar member (80) using a test apparatus (11). The test apparatus (11) includes a tabular member (21) and a heat generating member including a heater (22) provided on a back surface of the tabular member. The heat transfer coefficient (U) of the planar member is estimated, while the planar member is heated by the heat generating member, based on a front surface temperature (Ti) and back surface temperature (Th) of the tabular member as measured when the temperature is stabilized, an outdoor-side temperature (To) of the planar member, and a pre-stored heat transfer coefficient (U) of the tabular member. The system predicts stabilized temperature of the tabular member on the front surface side when the back surface temperature (Th) stabilizes after being heated by the heat generating member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
