PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fine particle aggregate which reduces the amount of a catalyst component to be used without reducing activity by adding a metal oxide carrier as a nucleus internally into a fine particle mixed aggregate produced by the coprecipitation method to substitute the metal oxide carrier for a catalyst component in the aggregate which does not participate largely in reaction, and mitigates aggregation and sintering of the fine particles, a catalyst composed of the fine particle aggregate, and a method for producing hydrogen.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the fine particle aggregate comprises the steps of : suspending a metal oxide powder in a metal compound aqueous solution in which a compound or a plurality of compounds selected from the group consisting of a compound of Zr, Ce, Al, and Y coexists, thereafter mixing an alkali precipitant therewith to coprecipitate a fine particle mixture of a metal hydroxide and/or a metal carbonate, drying the formed precipitate to fix an aggregate of metal hydroxide fine particles and/or metal carbonate fine particles onto the surface of the metal oxide carrier, and further heating the dried precipitate to fix the aggregate of the metal hydroxide fine particles and/or the metal carbonate fine particles onto the surface of the metal oxide carrier.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
