PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover an aprotic polar solvent from an aqueous solution including at least alkali halide and an aprotic solvent industrially with high purity and efficiently, and to provide a stable process by preventing a salt from bringing into a following step 2.SOLUTION: A method of recovering an aprotic polar solvent is characterized by including the following three steps: a step (step 1) in which an aqueous solution including an alkali halide and/or an organic salt, and an aprotic solvent is made to contact with a non-halogenated type aliphatic organic compound of six or more of a carbon number at 50°C to 100°C, thereby extracting an organic phase 1 including an aprotic polar solvent; a step (step 2) in which the organic phase 1 is cooled to at least 20°C and less than 50°C and an organic phase 2 including the aprotic polar solvent is extracted by phase separation; and a step (step 3) that distils the organic phase 2.
