PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel dye broad in the absorption wavelength range in the near infrared region and good in the phtoelectric conversion efficiency, and a photoelectric conversion device and a dye-sensitized solar cell using the same.SOLUTION: A phthalocyanine dye is represented by formula (1) [wherein Ais an atom group containing a benzene ring or a pyrazine ring; Ais a benzene ring or a naphthalene ring; Z is an oxygen, sulfur or selenium atom; M is two hydrogen atoms, or atoms or an atom group covalently or coordinately bondable to phthalocyanine; Y is a phenyl group or an alkyl group; n is 1 or 2; m is 0 or 1; and X is a carboxyl group or a group represented by formula (2)].
