PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an existing outdoor-installed object from a flying object, in a short period of time and at a low cost.;SOLUTION: A protective device for an outdoor-installed object 1 includes a plurality of boxes 2 lined up on an outside of the outdoor-installed object 1 for covering at least a part of the outdoor-installed object 1. Each of the plurality of boxes 2 is provided with a connecting part that connects the adjacent boxes lined up on the outside of the outdoor-installed object 1, and a plurality of metallic pipe bodies installed with an axial center aligned with a direction of an external force exerted on the boxes 2 is housed inside the boxes 2, the metallic pipe body allowing buckling deformation.
