PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer, a material for an organic electroluminescent element, and a composition for an organic electroluminescent element, which have good hole transport capacity and electrochemical stability, can be laminated, and are not easily decomposed by energization, and to provide an organic electroluminescent element that can be driven with low voltage and has high emission efficiency, and a high-quality organic EL display device and an organic EL light.;SOLUTION: The polymer having a specific structure satisfies the following formula (1): IPmax-IPmin≤0.1eV...(1) (wherein IPmax denotes the maximum ionization potential of the partial structure represented by formula (I-1), two or more types of which are contained in the polymer, and IPmin denotes the minimum ionization potential of the partial structure represented by formula (I-1), two or more types of which are contained in the polymer). The polymer can be laminated by a wet film formation method. The polymer has high hole transport capacity and electrochemical stability, so that it is useful as a material for an organic electroluminescent element. Also, the organic electroluminescent element has a low driving voltage, high emission efficiency, and good driving stability.
