PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device in which an SPS receiver improves the position determination performance capable of determining a position in a special weak coverage area where, though at least two satellite signals can be received, only one time stamp can be safely demodulated.;SOLUTION: A receiver can determine time related to bit end transition to a signal form a satellite by utilizing time reference safely decoded. The receiver sets time to at least one bid end transition to a signal from the other satellite where time stamp is not demodulated by utilizing bid end transition having a known time. The receiver sets the time hypothesis to the bid end transition including the bit end transition having the known time and generated in a predetermined window. The position can be determined on the basis of the time hypothesis.
