The present invention provides a tissue preservation solution that is excellent in the preservation of tissues, organs and cells and is useful in fields such as regenerative medicine and transplantation medicine. The tissue preservation solution of the present invention is characterized by containing a compound having Nrf2 activating action. The compound having Nrf2 activating action is preferably an electrophilic substance, and is preferably ebselen or tert-butylhydroquinone. It is preferable to use Hank's balanced salt solution as the base preservation solution.
