PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial gap switched reluctance motor in which tolerance for tensile stress of a rotor, formed by compacting soft magnetic powder coated with an electric insulating coating, is enhanced.;SOLUTION: An axial gap switched reluctance motor includes: a rotor 30; and a stator 20 having a cylindrical part 26 for holding an exciting coil 22 and a plurality of stator side magnetic poles 28, 28, ... projecting inward from the cylindrical part 26. The rotor 30 is formed by compacting soft magnetic powder coated with an electric insulating coating, and includes rotor side magnetic poles 32, 32A, 32B having such shape and arrangement that the increase and decrease of magnetic resistance are repeated between respective stator side magnetic poles 28 when the rotor 30 rotates, and nonmagnetic reinforcements 34, 34A, 34B formed of a nonmagnetic material and building a cylindrical shape, having the axis of rotation 12, as a central axis by coupling with the rotor side magnetic poles 32, 32A, 32B.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
