PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow time synchronization between a master device and a slave device at a more accurate time.SOLUTION: Signals different in wavelength components are sent from a master device 10 to an optical fiber transmission line between the master device 10 and a relay device 41 to measure a distance between the master device 10 and the relay device 41. Signals different in wavelength components are sent from the relay device 41 to an optical fiber transmission line between the relay device 41 and a slave device 30 to measure a distance between the relay device 41 and the slave device 30. Further, in a configuration where relay devices 41 are arranged in two or more stages, signals different in wavelength components are sent from the relay device on the master device side to an optical fiber transmission line between the relay device on the master device side and a relay device on the slave device side to measure a distance between the relay device on the master device side and the relay device on the slave device side.
