PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium for selectively detecting overall enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli regardless of a serotype thereof.;SOLUTION: The medium for detecting the enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli contains (a) a cefixime, (b) a tellurite, (c) a bile acid or salt thereof, (d) a substrate of β-galactosidase which can liberate a blue chromogen compound, (e) a lactose of 0.01-2 g/L (the concentration upon detection), and (f) a cellobiose of 5-20 g/L (the concentration upon detection).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
