PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a shop-search information magazine in order to efficiently find out a place where the information magazine should be placed by analyzing the relation between a place where the shop-search information magazine is placed and a shop actually used.;SOLUTION: There is provided a method to use a shop-search information magazine in which information such as information on a product carried by a shop and information on the location of the shop is sectioned per shop, a unit page space is formed in such a way, and discount coupons for services are printed per unit page space. The method includes the steps of: printing at least a discount coupon specific number different in units of a copy of the shop-search information magazine and a place code of a place where the shop-search information magazine is provided or a shop code on a discount coupon of the unit page space of the shop-search information magazine; and optically reading out the discount coupon specific number of the discount coupon collected at a shop where the discount coupon was used and the place code or the shop code by optical reading means connected with a shop terminal.
