Provided is a refrigerant that has (1) a superior air conditioning COP compared to R410a, which is an existing refrigerant alternative to R22 and (2) an equal or superior refrigerating effect in comparison with R22, even under usage conditions in which the condensation temperature setting is high, such as when the outside air temperature is high. The present invention pertains to a composition containing the refrigerant, wherein the refrigerant contains HFC-32, HFC-125, and HFC-134a. In a triangular composition diagram in which the apexes denote the three components, the mass ratio of the three components is within a triangular range, the apexes of which denote the following three points: point (A) (HFC-32/HFC-125/HFC-134a=36/25/39 mass%); point (B) (HFC-32/HFC-125/HFC-134a=36/31/33 mass%); and point (C) (HFC-32/HFC-125/HFC-134a=43/34/23 mass%).
