Described herein is an oligomer having a pendant bromine-containing moiety according to formula II and/or formula III; and combinations thereof; wherein X₁, X₂, and X₃ are each independently selected from F, Cl, H, and CF₃; R is a linear or branched linking group, which may be saturated or unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted, and may comprise a heteroatom; each Z₁ and Z₂ is independently selected from F and CF₃; n is 0 or 1; q is 0 or 1; and m is at least 2.
