This is directed to methods for Separation of a Fluid Flow of emulsion in a Hydrocarbon Stream and an aqueous Stream by contacting the stream with a Microporous Membrane to provide a product Stream and a stream of hydrocarbons Aqueous product.The Membrane includes a Polymer Matrix and a Hydrophobic substantially burden substantially Water insoluble particulate, finely Divided, substantially Hydrophilic, Distributed throughout the Matrix.The Polymer matrix has an average Pore size of less than 1.0 mm, and the Purities of Product flows are independent of the flow rate of the flow of Aqueous Product and the Pore size of the membrane.
