The present invention relates to an aqueous slurry comprising ground natural calcium carbonate having a weight percent of particles having a diameter of less than 5.0 µm from 98.5% to 90%, a weight percent percentage of particles having a diameter of less than 2.0 µm of 96% to 80% wherein the p2 / p5 ratio is 0.98 to 0.85, and wherein the slurry has a solids content of greater than 78% by weight.
