Both stinger and tubular are equipped with hydraulic lines through them. thus, when the stinger is coupled to the tubular, the hydraulic lines are also coupled. however, the termination of each line is sealably covered by a sliding sleeve prior to obtaining stinger-tubular coupling. therefore, the lines are protected from contamination during potentially significant well deployment periods that may occur in advance of the completed coupling and system installation. In addition, the hydraulic coupling mode between the stinger and tubular reduces the likelihood of damage to the hydraulic lines during the installation process.
