Device for stopping a car of the elevator, and elevator system with a device for emergency stop integrated.A device to stop the car of elevator which travels up or down along guide rails installed in an elevator shaft includes a chassis mounted on one side of the car, and a speed limiter, a guide device mounted on the chassis safety gear. The speed limiter detects when an excessive speed of the car is occurring.The guide device which guides the elevator car along a guide rail. The safety gear is vertically aligned with the guide device in the chassis and the car of elevator through the frictional coupling of the guide rail of elevator, which passes through a channel formed in each gear safety and guide device.The guide device makes the car stop by frictional coupling of the elevator guide rail when the speed limiter detects that an excessive speed of the car is occurring.
