Basic refractory composition containing ortotitanato magnesium and calcium titanate, process for production and use of the same. The present invention relates to a refractory composition containing ortotitanato basic magnesium (Mg ~ 2 ~ TiO ~ 4 ~) and calcium titanate (CaTiO ~ 3 ~) suitable for use in rotary kilns for the production of Portland cement or lime.
