The present invention relates to a pusher mechanism for pushing bottles formed in a glass forming machine through an angle of about 90 degrees from a deadplate to a moving conveyor, wherein the pusher mechanism comprises a pocket finger assembly (50) including a pocket finger arm (58) having at least one pocket (60) for receiving a bottle on the dead plate, a first servomotor (10), a lower housing (14), an upper housing (16), a first driven gear (22), having a hollow center, mounted in said lower housing (14) for rotation about a first vertical axis (A1), said first driven gear (22) being secured to said upper housing (16), first coupling means for interconnecting said first servomotor (10) and said first driven gear (22) for rotating said upper housing (16) about said first axis (A1), a second servomotor (12), a second driven gear (45) rotatably mounted on said upper housing (16) for rotation about a second axis (A2) parallel to said first axis (A1), a first shaft (46) extending axially vertically upward from said second driven gear (45), wherein said pocket finger assembly (50) being secured to said first shaft (46) for rotation about said second vertical axis (A2), second coupling means including a second vertically extending shaft protruding through said hollow center of said first driven gear (22) for interconnecting said second servomotor (12) and said second driven gear (45).
