There is shown a spreading boom (2), for example in the form of a so-called tow hose boom, for slurry wagons and trailers (1), the boom side (8) of which is mounted on each part of a divided main frame (4), the two parts of which is hinged to one another in a hinge joint (3) with a substantially horizontal hinge axis and furthermore is connected to each other by one or more hydraulic cylinders (7) in such a way that the two parts can be rotated about the hinge axis relative to each other in a substantially vertical, so that one or both side wings are tilted upwardly during this rotation, the outermost part of the side wing (s) being lifted relative to the inner part. Furthermore, a slurry trailer or trailer (1) with such a spreading boom is shown.
