摘要
The invention relates to system consisted of a mechanical wind-stimulated ventilator and a filter meant for carbon dioxide and soot retention. Said system is composed of two vertical tubes (A,B) interconnected by means of a third slanting tube Z which is connected to the first and second tube under 135 and 45 deg. angle, respectively. The first tube has a diameter equal to the diameter of the chimney whereto said tube is connected as a continuation via screws. Even the slanting tube Z has the same diameter while the diameter of the second vertical tube is the double of the diameter of the first one. Thereby, the cross section of the tube B is four times the cross section of the first tube what leads to the quadruplication of the velocity of the exhausts entering said tube B. The change of the exhaust direction is achieved with the assistance of the inclined lamella found above the tube bearing the nozzles; water spraying increases the weight of the thus-hydrated soot granules which are said to pass through the perforated lamella to the soot concentration space which constitutes the base of the cylinder. The replacement of water with ammonium solution relieves the exhausts from asignificant rate of carbon dioxide since the reaction of this last with ammonium and water forms (NH2)2CO3 και (NH4)HCO3. The top of the tube A is closed so that the exhausts are propelled via the wind-operated ventilator to the part B. The ventilator is fixed at the lower end of the vertical axle which passes, through the closed upper end, to the atmosphere. Blades fixed at the upper end and exposed to the wind are liable to set into motion the ventilator serving for the exhaust’s propelling.
