1. A machine for levelling, stamping and compacting coal charge in a coke oven furnace comprising a leveller beam having a frame carrying a leveller head, rotating primary actuating means having been provided in the said frame of the leveller beam in addition to said leveller head, a set of stamping hammers accommodated between said leveller head and said primary actuating means in such a way that the tail end of the hammers are actuated by the forend of the actuating means, a position arrestor or stopper means for the said hammers, a secondary actuating means for the said hammer, the leveller beam having been connected to a first driving mechanism in order to move the leveller beam and consequently the leveller head, the stamping hammer and the hammer actuating primary and secondary means in a forward motion into the said furnace or in a outward motion out of the said furnace, the said primary actuating means for the said hammer having connected thereto a second driving mechanism enabling the said primary actuating means to rotate only in a clockwise direction whether the leveller beam moves into the furnace or the leveller beam moves out of the furnace, such that the stamping hammers are actuated both during the forward or rearward travel of the leveller beam, the primary actuating means being long blades mounted around a common shaft.
