摘要

This invention relates to a non-degassing solid propulsion system for extended space missions comprising a composite solid propellant composition, liner, insulation and inhibition system with low outgassing properties. The propellant, liner and inhibition systems are based on hydroxy 1 terminated polybutadiene binder and the insulation is based on fluoro elastomer. The propellant has ammonium perchlorate as the oxidizer and it is non-aluminized and plasticizer free. The above system has very low outgassing properties and retains their mechanical properties under high vacuum conditions of the order 10-5 to 10-14 torr.
