The present invention relates to a remote control system for controlling a bi-directional multi-speed industrial motor. The remote control system comprises plurality of remote controlled calling bell means (2a, 2b), signal conditioner means, microcontroller means (3), transistor means, plurality of output relays means (4) and plurality of light means. The calling bell means (2a,2b) is adapted to be converted into radio frequency transmitter and receiver modules and generating plural pulses. The plural pulses are shaped and converted into a single pulse by means of the signal conditioner means. The single pulse is inverted so as to communicate with the transistor means to switch it ON thereby giving a pulse to the microcontroller means (3) so that the microcontroller means sends a predetermined output to the output relay means (4) for controlling the motor (6) from remote.
