ABSTRACT The present invention relates to hybrid vegetable seed production of tomato, chilli (hot pepper), brinjal. capsicum (sweet pepper). For hybrid seed production of these crops, pollen grains collected from male anthers of male plants will be smeared on the stigmatic surface of the female plants. For smearing or applying of pollen grains on the stigmatic surface hands or fingers can not be used since it will results in spread of seed borne diseases from one plant to another plant. The use of pollen ring will help in ease in pollination and to produce disease free seeds. The device can be carried easily and stored. It will have no toxic materials and made from food grade plastic. The pollen ring comprises of a ring structure which can be put on to a finger. It will have a head which hold pollen vial. The pollen vial is a small depression which can hold small quantity (one gram or less) of pollen grains. This quantity of pollen grains is enough to pollinate flowers of ten female plants. During pollination the anthers collected from male flowers will be exposed to bright morning sunlight between 7 to 8 am. This will results in release of small pollen grains from the anthers which will be collected in small plastic or glass tube. The pollen grains then put in to the pollen vial. While pollinating the female flower stigma will be dipped in to the pollen vial. The pollen grains adhered to the stigmatic surface later germinate and fertilize the zygotes and lead to seed formation.
