Nano enriched food grain, paddy, rice in particular with Vitamin A comprising steps wherein Retinyl palmitate in oil form is mixed with required quantity of Ethyl Hydroxide; diluting resultant mixture with water to provide appropriate quantity of Vitamin A; dipping paddy/Rice with husk in resultant mixture and subjecting it to heat treatment at 60° to 70°C for 3 hours; drying paddy/rice obtaining Vitamin A enriched rice all in known manner. Nano encapsulation of food grain particularly Paddy/Rice enriched with Lysine enabling higher availability of protein comprising steps wherein dissolving lysine with required quantity of water; and heated as above. Process for preparing enriched food grains/rice grains wherein required micronutrients are either individually or severally in combination made to solubilise in a broth containing water characterized in that food grains particularly paddy/rice is heated as above .
