A machining device (1) has a tool spindle (3) for machining workpieces (2) which is connected to a first provision unit (6) for providing a cooling fluid (5) and to a second provision unit (8) for providing a fluid (18) or a lubricant-fluid mixture (7). The provision units (6, 8) are controlled by means of a control unit (9). Control is performed by in particular at least one meas uring sensor, for instance a thermometer, by means of which a flow rate of the cooling fluid (5) and/or the fluid (18) or the lubricant-fluid mixture (7) is adjusted. The tool spindle (3) is provided with two supply channels for supplying the cooling fluid (5) and/or the flu id (18) or the lubricant-fluid mixture (7). The supply channel sallow the cooling fluid (5) and/or the fluid (18) or the lubricant-fluid mixture (7) to be supplied to the machining tool (4). This results in an optimized machining process for the most different cutting proce sses and materials of the workpiece (2).� Fig. 1.
