This invention relates to a method of synthesizing nanostructured gypsum by oxidizing nano brownmillerite CaFeO2.5 as pressed cylindrical pellets in 0.1 M H2SO4 sulfuric acid electrochemically annealing at room temperature, due to high surface reactivity the nano-phase of CaFeO2.5 pellets converted into nano-gypsum and loose particles of gypsum drop off downwardly and this process continues till the entire CaFeO2.5 pellet converts into gypsum.
