Aircraft Fuel Systems are designed to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to the engine throughout the flight envelope including reheat/combat and in accordance with retevant MIL specifications. Ground Testing of Aircraft Fuel System requ res simulation of various aircraft attitudes in two axes, namely pitch and roll. Ground Testing also incorporates failure simulations at different attitudes. The Tilting Platform simulates various pitch and roll angles. The platform is tilted by using a 5HP, 3 phase, 1430 RPM Electrical Motor. A gear train connects the motor shaft to the tilting platform. Gear train reduces the speed of the drve to around 1 RPM and provides sufficient torque to tilt the fuel system installed on the platform to any attitude from 0o to 360�. Electromechanic al locking facility is provided in the motor so that in the absence of electrical power, the platform can stay in the set attitude.
