Creating a melt pump in which the worm gap between the two worm conveyors is easily adjustable at will is achieved by the fact that the coupling (414, 414") comprises an output gear (418, 418") provided on the output shaft (416, 416"), a drive gear (419, 419") provided on the worm conveyor (408, 408"; 508, 508") and a coupling sleeve (421, 421") gripping the output gear (418, 418") and the drive gear (419, 419") and that the drive gear (419, 419") and the output gear (418, 418") have a different number of teeth.
