The present invention is directed to provide a pedal operated silk reeling machine which is a leg driven machine which helps in winding the silk thread passing through set of guiders by rotating the bobbin by pedal power with the help of connecting rod, crank wheel and pinion gears. The longitudinal turning of silk thread is done with the help of cam traverse assembly. The crank wheel is mounted on a shaft which helps in rotating the bobbin with the help of pinion gears and also powers the cam traverse assembly to ensure narrow and long thread distribution along the bobbin reel. A plurality of spindles provided in the machine can be reeled at once with the same amount of force hence increasing the productivity of the workers with less menial work and providing good working conditions, thus benefitting rural artisans or workers engaged in silk reeling process.
