Method and apparatus for checking of depression, dent, projection on a structure and between welded joints, consisting of non compressible fluid or vacuum held under pressure by external or Internal sources and subjected to cyclic stresses resulting in depression, projection and deformation .Tl��_-e invention relates to manufacturing and use of portable checking media or device for ascertaining the deformation, projection and depression on 2�Dimentional contour surfaces. The regular.methQd is to check depression in sophisticated labs using high precision surface tracker. Regular checking prevents the failure and ensures the correctness of the system. This invention is a portable checking media (device) for ascertaining deformation� � (depression) on any surfac e without alignment / setting; Depression checking is carried out through a probe supported by adjustable and eccentric legs. In this way the depression or deformation -,-can be checked at the site. This will ease the movement and handling and reduce the dependency on sophisticated labs
