SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTION OF DUPLICATE BUG REPORTS

The present invention describes a system and method for detection of duplcate bug reports. The duplcate bug detector (100) ncludes a recever (130) configured to receve a first bug report (110) and a word matrix (120). The duplcate bug detector (100) also ncludes an extractor (140) to extract keywords from the first bug report for creating a first search string. The duplcate bug detector also ncludes a comparator (150) to compare each of the keywords from the first search string with the word matrix (120) for identifying dissimilar duplcate words. The duplcate bug detector (100) further ncludes an expander (160) to expand the first search string by including the dissimilar duplcate words for creating the second search string. The duplcate bug detector further includes a searcher (170) to search a bug repository (180) with the first search string and the second search string for identifying similar duplcate bug reports and dissimilar duplcate bug reports. The duplcate bug detector also includes a display (190) for displaying the similar and the dissimilar duplcate bug reports. REF FIG: 1
