The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing remote assistance to a user mobile phone user or to remotely providing the user with support services. Remote assistance allows a mobile phone user to establish a connection with a user at the support location by using a communication network such as for example the Internet to permit the user at the support location to remotely view and trouble shoot the users mobile phone and or a particular application that is running on the mobile phone. Remote assistance can be provided in this manner without requiring the user to configure their mobile phone or a computer for accessing a particular network or establish credentials for each potential troubleshooting expert.
