The purpose of the present invention is to provide a high calorie gas manufacturing process by which a high calorie gas can be manufactured through pyrolysis of glycerol. The present invention is a high calorie gas manufacturing process which comprises: subjecting glycerol to pyrolysis using iron ore; and thus obtaining a high calorie gas having a net calorific value of 3 000kcal/m or more.
