The present application relates to new heterocyclic compounds of formula (I) where V is an oxygen a sulphur or a substituted nitrogen; Q is a substituted carbon or nitrogen; Q Q Q Q are each independently of one another a substituted carbon or nitrogen wherein at least one of the structure elements Q Q Q Q is nitrogen and no more than two of the structure elements Q Q Q Q are nitrogen; W is hydrogen or halogen; n is the number 0 1 or 2; and X Y and z are independently of one another hydrogen halogen alkyl etc. The present application further relates to a method for producing said compounds to the use thereof in controlling animal pests including arthropods and particularly insects and acarids and to intermediate products for producing the heterocyclic compounds.
