System and method for analysis of transmission towers using aerial imagery

The present disclosure relates to a system and method for faster and better analysis of transmission towers present in an electricity infrastructure using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In one embodiment, the present system enables the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to capture images of the transmission towers present in the electricity infrastructure and accordingly generate image data related to the transmission towers. The image data is further processed to reduce the manual efforts required for analyzing the huge image data. The system enables an automatic selection of specific frames for the image data, wherein the specific frames contain region related to the transmission towers that are essential for an expert to make a final assessment of the damages caused to the transmission tower.
