The major source of generating energy can be solar and presently its contribution to the world total energy production is minimal. There is the need to utilize this energy as solar radiation is enough in India. India is also the country of water reservoirs like lakes ponds, dams and canals. Water reservoirs are certainly the major source of drinking water. These water reservoirs are required to be protected and their water should not be evaporated due to high solar radiation. The energy production and prevention of water reservoirs in its natural form can be achieved using innovative ideas by implementing the array of solar Photo voltaic ( PV ) panels to be installed on the surface of water reservoirs. There must be necessary distance between the water surface and solar PV array to provide enough oxygen and solar light for natural habitat of the water reservoir.
