DISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE USING BIO-CULTURE

The present invention relates to a process for disposal of municipal solid waste utilizing bio-culture. The process involves utilization of unsegregated solid waste. Further, the bio-culture includes a group of composting bacteria working under aerobic and/or anaerobic conditions. The unsegregated solid waste is pre-treated to breakdown the degradable portion into less complex form that can be further utilized by the bacteria in the bio-culture. This reduces the time and cost required for the initial segregation process of the solid waste using high end equipments. The process can be used for disposal of urban as well as rural solid waste.
