The present invention is the development of wastewater treatment methodology for onsite treatment of wastewater (sullage or sewage). The system uses circular pipes (or pipes of any other shape), or any material either precast or cast in situ. The larger pipes are interconnected with smaller diameter pipes. The pipes and system has zig zag flow pattern and aeration is carried out through vent pipes which helps to carry out natural aeration required for biological decomposition of organic matter and chemical decomposition (by oxygen present) of inorganic matter. The proposed method is very simple, completely non mechanized. Thus it is sustainable in long run, as it helps to reduce carbon emission and footprint as well, thereby helping to reduce global warming. Main aim is to remove the odour, COD, BOD, Solids and to increase the dissolved oxygen level of treated wastewater. The wastewater is collected at inlet and outlet of the system and analyzed for various parameters. The removal efficiency of this system is found to be 84 to 87 % for BOD and COD removal efficiency was 75 to 82 %, Total Suspended Solids removal efficiency was 88-98 percent and also the dissolved oxygen has increase substantially.
