The invention relates to a device for determining an amount of bulk material. Said device comprises: a sensor (80) which is a dapted to contact a surface of a cone (22 22 ) of bulk material; a pivoting device (8) which is connected to the sensor (80) and which is designed to adopt different angle positions about a pivot axis (24); and an angle measuring device (10) which is designed to measure t he angle positions of the pivot device (8) about the pivot axis (24). The invention also relates to an inlet device for admitting bulk material said inlet device comprising the device for determining an amount of bulk material and to a corresponding cleaning dev ice for cleaning bulk material. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
