Preparation of a titanium oxide in an anatase form, which is based on the sol-gel technology for the preparation of a material with a high superficial area, which is mesoporous and with a nanometric particle size, which allows a high photocatalytic activity to ultraviolet visible light for performing the gaseous phase of NOx, which is applied for removing atmospheric pollutants. NOx are transformed directly into nitrates and then humidity promoting the regeneration of the active site, so that the cycle starting again. The method for obtaining the titanium oxide is sol gel, where the temperature variables of calcination are controlled as well as the volume of ethyl alcohol and acetic acid.
